Thank You Brother Movie Review: Anasuya Bharadwaj and Viraj's suspense drama is bagful of cliches – India Today

Thank You Brother, directed by Ramesh Raparthi, is one more OTT movie that’s cliched and predictable. The movie’s story doesn’t supply something new. Most tv soaps and mainstream movies observe the template of placing two contrasting people in a tough state of affairs and the way they react to the state of affairs. Thank You Brother suffers from the identical problem.
Thank You Brother follows the story of a closely pregnant Priya (Anasuya Bharadwaj) and a wealthy spoilt brat named Abhi (Viraj Ashwin). As the 2 contrasting people get caught within the elevator of a flat, Priya goes into labour. How Vijay, who’s an boastful man, helps her ship her child and comes out of it as a distinct man types the story.
The story of Thank You Brother is as previous because the hills. Movies have taught us that it takes just one incident to alter a wealthy brat right into a reformed man. Right here, Abhi helps Priya ship her child within the elevate, and it makes him realise the errors that he has dedicated in his life.
Abhi’s character is well-rounded and director Ramesh has performed fairly a great job with it. His equation together with his mom and stepfather is sort of advanced. So is his relationship together with his girlfriend and his so-called greatest associates. Viraj delivers an honest efficiency as Abhi. As a wealthy brat, he is simply good for the function. However, it’s the emotional sequences that betray his inexperience.
Anasuya Bharadwaj as a closely pregnant girl is apt for the function. Although her function is one-dimensional, she does a splendid job in conveying the feelings correctly. Different characters performed by Archana Ananth, Anish Kuruvilla and Adarsh Balakrishna don’t make any mark.
Director Ramesh’s screenplay is straight to the purpose. There’s not far more for the viewers to understand, and it’s the place the movie falls flat. Whereas the being pregnant sequence presents some depth, it doesn’t final lengthy.
The movie runs for an hour and a half, but there are a whole lot of sequences that do not add up within the movie. The flashback portion the place Abhi is proven as a money-minded occasion animal is simply too prolonged and uninteresting, for instance.
Thank You Brother is a movie that might have been far more fascinating, however falters within the execution.
2 out of 5 stars for Thank You Brother.
