Evaluation

Youth have two favourites – Bikes & Women. Protagonist Surya has love for his classic bike and this lady Meghana whom he calls her as “Bamma”. Sure, you heard it proper. That is the tip of the iceberg. The movie has this outdated contact seen right here and there.

The thought of Ustaad on paper appears to be good. However this will get completely misplaced in its translation to the massive display screen. Ustaad assessments persistence. The dearth of readability and inconsistency are what boggle down the movie. The protagonist has a flawed character – he’s petrified of heights, he’s hyper, has no management over him, will get indignant immediately (like Arjun Reddy), damages his personal issues. Regardless of all this, he efficiently achieves his dream to develop into a pilot. He narrates the story to the chief pilot Captain Joseph (Gautham Menon). The screenplay is back-and-forth. All these sound good, however the director Phanideep failed miserably in utilizing these ably.

The characters instantly get emotional, instantly fights and instantly will get burst. Typically, the story strikes at snail tempo. At parts, the movie turns intense. And amidst all this, there may be mom sentiment. There’s a bike mechanic Brahmam (Ravindra Vijay) who will get so emotional about this outdated bike and names it Ustaad. What’s his connection to the bike isn’t portrayed nicely.

Viewers might not relate to the bike sentiment. Each the bike and love have failed to attach the viewers emotionally. That is the place director Phanideep failed. Simha tries his finest together with his performing. However he does over-acting and will get over-emotional which pisses off. Kavya is alright. Ravindra Vijay, Anu Haasan and Gautam Menon did present their mature efficiency as actors.

The stress is essentially on the bike and fewer on the love. The love observe between the hero and heroine lacked the punch. The pre-interval parts are dragged. The climax is written nicely however fails within the execution. On the entire, Ustaad has no partaking moments. It bites the mud too.

Verdict: Bites The Mud!

Score: 1.75/5
