Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalled how she and her colleagues down south had been disrespected up to now over garments.
In an interview, the 35-year-old actress spoke about how far regional movies have come in recent times, with motion pictures in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada out operating Hindi cinema on the box-office.
Samantha mentioned: “It’s completely great. There have been occasions after we south actors couldn’t supply clothes from designers as a result of they had been like, ‘Who’re you? South actor? What south?’”
Samantha, whose upcoming movie ‘Shaakuntalam’ has over 3,000 costumes for the actors, supporting forged and junior artistes, made by designer Neeta Lulla: “We’ve come a great distance from there, haven’t we? This inclusivity is sort of superb, and we’re now lastly the place we needs to be.”
