Blast from the past: When Mithun Chakraborty brutally ragged Shakti Kapoor at FTII – Masala.com
Shakti Kapoor is usually identified for his performing abilities in unfavorable roles. The actor has again and again confirmed his potential in performing. Lately, the actor recalled his earlier days at FTII, Pune, the place he was once brutally ragged by one other cult-favorite actor Mithun Chakraborty.
Shakti Kapoor opened up about his preliminary days at FTII:
He recalled, “By the point we reached Pune, I had a beer in my hand and felt like a star. We reached the hostel, Rakesh Roshan was there to see me off. I noticed that there was a man standing on the gate, he was carrying a dhoti and had a rippling muscular physique. His dhoti had so many holes you can not even rely. He was dusky. He noticed Rakesh Roshan and touched his toes.”
Shakti continued, “I had a beer in my hand and I requested him, ‘You wanna have some beer?’ He refused and stated it’s anyway not allowed within the institute after which launched himself – he was Mithun Chakraborty… Reduce to, they (Rakesh and different) left and a hand-held me by my leg. He dragged me to a room, threw me on the ground and questioned ‘You requested a senior – you wanna have some beer?’ (How dare you)?”
Shakti Kapoor additional stated that Vijayendra Ghatge joined Mithun and shortly, your entire room was darkish, aside from a highlight on Shakti. “These are all my seniors, and there I’m sitting on the ground. Mithun then instructed his associates about me after which they joked about my hair – tere zulf jo hai, raat ka andhera, tu jo sir mudwae savera ho jae. Unhone kainchi nikali aur savera kar diya (They made enjoyable of my hair after which lower it off with scissors). I felt unhealthy, and I regretted doing what I did. I realised I used to be unsuitable.”
