An overlong, half-baked action drama
Proper from its opening scene, which is about within the US (most likely as a result of that is the place the cash is coming from), the movie resembles a half-baked effort that lays naked the incompetence in its writing and making. The plot feels prefer it was written after a marathon viewing of heist thrillers, revenge dramas and cringe-worthy romantic movies… a protagonist (Jai) who goes after the gang that by chance shot his social activist girlfriend/fiancée (Athulya) throughout a shootout that occurs when they’re robbing a jewelry retailer. The robbers are after priceless diamonds that belong to a gangster (Suresh Subramanian) within the US, {that a} corrupt minister (Sunil Reddy) has stashed away within the retailer. For the hero, the one hope at understanding their id is a girl who they’ve left for lifeless. In the meantime, the top of the robbers (Vamsi Krishna) has a special downside to resolve as a result of the diamonds that they stole have gone lacking and the gangster, for whom he works, is getting stressed.
Whereas this storyline has the necessities for an intense motion thriller, Yenni what we get is definitely a half-baked effort with inefficient writing and peculiar filmmaking. It’s the form of movie wherein the hero does higher investigation than the police, who, regardless of being beneath strain to crack the case due to the minister’s involvement, hardly do something. And the hero is somebody who goes to rescue a child in pressing want of surgical procedure and quite than attempt to discover her whereabouts chooses to get into fisticuffs with the villain. The staging feels amateurish and the director banks on shaky digicam and crash zooms to make the scenes appear tense. The appearing is TV serial-ish whereas the motion choreography is so laid again that there is hardly any depth. This goes to the movie, too, which is overlong and full of occasions unfolding on display screen that hardly evoke any response from us. Solely a few plot developments make us sit up. One includes the interval twist, which performs with the expectations that non-linear narratives have in-built us and one other in regards to the thriller of the lacking diamonds. However for the remainder of the time, the movie will get us near a state of stupor, making us marvel if the title is a good warning to us, audiences.
