Bollywood icon Dilip Kumar’s sketch painted by legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray goes viral on social media

Hindi cinema’s icon, Dilip Kumar handed away on Wednesday (July 7) on the age of 98. Hours after his demise, a sketch of Kumar made by legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray surfaced on social media. Dilip Kumar breathed his final at Mumbai Hinduja Hospital the place he was admitted on June 30 because of age-related issues.

A Twitter consumer named Bhaswati Ghosh shared Dilip Kumar’s sketch with a caption in Bengali that stated, “Satyajit Ray er aanka (Painted by Satyajit Ray).” The caricature sketch is painted with black ink on white paper and exhibits the late actor with an enormous smile.

The information of Dilip Kumar’s demise was shared by his household buddy Faisal Farooqui on Twitter. “With a heavy coronary heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, jiffy in the past. We’re from God and to Him we return. Faisal Farooqui,” he tweeted.

The late actor’s funeral passed off with full state honours advert declared by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The leisure trade mourned the demise of the legendary actor and a number of other politicians and celebrities together with Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar amongst others visited Dilip Kumar’s residence to pay their final respects.
