Director Balaji Kumar’s upcoming Telugu movie, an investigative thriller that includes Vijay Antony within the lead, has been titled ‘Hatya’, its makers introduced on Wednesday.
Vijay Antony performs a detective within the gripping thriller, wherein actress Ritika Singh performs Sandhya, a rookie cop, who’s assigned to work alongside him.
Produced by Kamal Bohra, G Dhananjayan, Pradeep B, Pankaj Bohra, and S Vikram Kumar of Infiniti Movie Ventures in affiliation with Tan Sri Doraisingam Pillai, Siddhartha Shankar & RVS Ashok Kumar of Lotus Footage, the movie is loosely impressed by the well-known Dorothy King homicide case that occurred in 1923.

The homicide, sources declare, despatched shock waves the world over due to the complexities related to the case.
Director Balaji says that he needed to work on 30-odd drafts earlier than the ultimate draft, which has the premise tailored to the modern-day backdrop.
Sharing concerning the movie’s gist, he says, “The story is about a stupendous mannequin named Leila, who’s discovered murdered in her upscale house. ‘Hatya’ has been written and is being directed by Balaji Kumar, who earlier made films like ‘Vidiyum Munn’ in Tamil and ‘9 Lives of Maara’ in English.
Sivakumar Vijayan is the director of Images for this movie, which could have music by Girishh Gopalakrishnan.
