Fanboy Ammy Virk poses with stars of 1983; special screening for Anurag Thakur
Punjabi actor-singer Ammy Virk, who essays the position of Balwinder Sandhu in 83, has posted footage of him with the heroes of the 1983 World Cup-winning squad and the movie’s lead actor Ranveer Singh.
Ammy took to his Instagram and shared joyful footage with Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Balwinder Sandhu, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Mohinder Amarnath, Roger Binny and naturally, Ranveer Singh. Within the caption, he wrote: “My journey of 83 @83thefilm swipe proper.”
In the meantime, Sajid Nadiadwala, one of many movie’s co-producers, missed the particular screening in Mumbai as he had left for Delhi to indicate the movie 83 to the Union Minister for Info and Broadcasting, and Sports activities and Youth Affairs, Anurag Thakur, and officers of the ministry.
The unique 83 screening was attended by Thakur and Union Minister for Commerce and Business, and Textiles and Client Affairs, Piyush Goel, together with 10 MPs and MLAs.
In 83, Ranveer Singh performs the position of the captain of the 1983 staff and cricketing legend, Kapil Dev, who led the underdogs to coveted World Cup glory, beating the mighty two-time earlier winners West Indies within the ultimate at Lord’s.
Deepika Padukone, the movie’s co-producer, performs Kapil‘s spouse, Romi Dev, within the movie.
