Revenue Tax division officers had been Monday finishing up searches on the premises of Mythri Film Makers, a number one movie manufacturing home. Groups of IT officers had been conducting simultaneous searches on the homes and residences of the highest executives of the agency in Hyderabad since Monday morning.
The officers had been checking the data of the moviemaker to establish if the corporate paid the tax on its revenue.
The searches had been on at 15 locations together with homes of three producers Yelamanchili Ravi Shankar and Naveen Erneni.
The manufacturing home produced some large blockbusters like “Pushpa”, “Rangasthalam”, “Srimanthudu”, “Janatha Storage”, “Expensive Comrade”, “Sarkar Vari Pata”, and “Uppena”.
The IT officers are believed to be focussing on the monetary transactions of the agency in view of the complaints about alleged tax evasion.
The searches had been performed within the day when Mythri Film Makers started shoot for “Pushpa 2” starring Allu Arjun.
It is usually making motion pictures like “Waltair Veerayya” and “Veera Narasimha Reddy”.
