Absurd comedy is a style that’s powerful to crack. Movies belonging to the style both fall flat on its face or might work extraordinarily nicely for the quirkiness that unfolds on screens. It’s both right here or there and nothing in between. Tharun Bhascker Dhayssayam’s ‘Keeda Cola’ is a unusual crime comedy that depends closely on absurd humour. Let’s see if the movie managed to stay to the style or not.

‘Keedaa Cola’ introduces the viewers to 2 parallel tales. Vaastu (Chaitanya Rao) and Kaushik (Rag Mayur) are greatest pals, who’re depressing in life and are ready for a turnaround second. Vaastu’s dad and mom die in an accident and he now lives along with his grandfather, Varada Raju (Brahmanandam), who’s sick and caught to his wheelchair. In the future, Vaastu, Kaushik and Vara Raj discover a cockroach in a cola bottle. Kaushik, who’s a lawyer, provides them an thought to earn a living by suing the beverage firm, owned by the CEO (performed by Ravindra Vijay).

However, the cockroach within the cola bottle was not a mistake. It was in truth a wonderfully executed plan of ex-convict Bhakta Nayudu (Tharun Bhascker), so he might assist his brother Jeevan Nayudu (Jeevan), who needs to turn into a corporator. How do these tales converge? Have they got a typical enemy? Do they get cash due to the cockroach within the cola bottle?

Tharun Bhascker is a promising filmmaker who’s identified for his sensible concepts in movies. Take ‘Pelli Choopulu’ or ‘Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi’, for instance. Each movies now get pleasure from a cult standing. 5 years after his final directorial, he’s again as a director (and as an actor) with ‘Keedaa Cola’. The story of ‘Keedaa Cola’ is predictable and easy. Nonetheless, when the story is about in Tharun’s quirky world with dumb but fascinating characters, you get a criminal offense comedy that has all of the potential to present the viewers a memorable time in theatres.

This is the trailer:

‘Keedaa Cola’ is all about absurd situational comedies and so they work for the main half. Be it the English-speaking hours or the confrontational scene between Vaastu and Nayudu gang, you might be in splits watching the absurdity on display. When the villain tries to rent a gang to kill the individuals suing the corporate, you meet 4 extra quirky characters in an outlandish set that makes issues fascinating.

‘Keedaa Cola’ has a number of fascinating concepts and so they work for almost all. Due to the crisp runtime of two hours, the movie dives straight into the story with out losing time in investing extra of their backstories.

Nonetheless, ‘Keedaa Cola’ shouldn’t be a movie with out flaws. The visible results are cheesy and stick out like a sore thumb. The climax feels rushed and will have had extra readability.

Coming to the performances, greater than the director Tharun, it’s the actor Tharun who shines within the position of Bhakti Nayudu. Jeevan and his sidekick Sikander (performed by Vishnu Oi), evoke laughter in lots of scenes. Chaitanya Rao, along with his stammering drawback within the movie, together with Rag Mayur delivered an ample efficiency. Veteran actor Brahmanandam’s subdued efficiency is an added benefit to the movie.

‘Keedaa Cola’s’ camerawork by AJ Aaron will remind us of many Hollywood movies and so they add to the quirky nature of the movie. Vivek Sagar complemented the movie along with his music as nicely.

Although ‘Keedaa Cola’ is predictable, it nonetheless stays to be a enjoyable and entertaining watch.

3 out of 5 stars for ‘Keedaa Cola’.
