Amongst Lata ji’s numerous superbly rendered songs for Hindi Cinema, I’ve been notably keen on  Jyoti Kalash Chhalke… and every time I felt overwhelmed when Lata ji sang this track at my request at a number of public occasions the place we shared the dias.

Lata ji was a high quality human being and in all my interactions along with her, I used to be touched by her simplicity, heat and above all, her love for our nice nation.
