Iconic Indian singer SP Balasubrahmanyam has died in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India after struggling a cardiorespiratory arrest, an announcement launched by the hospital that was treating him mentioned.

Balasubrahmanyam was a recipient of six nationwide awards, together with the Padma Bhushan and the Padma Shri, India’s third and fourth-highest civilian awards.

He’s survived by his spouse and two youngsters. His son SPB Charan is a movie producer and singer.

Balasubrahmanyam will probably be cremated on Saturday at his farmhouse, with state honours given by the Tamil Nadu authorities.
