A number of months after the discharge of director Parthiban’s ‘Iravin Nizhal’, which the director claimed to be the world’s first non-linear, single shot movie, comes the information that one other movie referred to as ‘Drama’ has now been made in a single shot.
The Tamil movie, which has been directed by Aju Kizhumala, options actors Kishore, Charlie, Jai Bala and Kavya Bellu within the lead.
Says Jai Bala, who performs the male lead within the movie, “All the unit rehearsed for this movie for over a 180 days and shot the movie in a matter of 1 hour and 53 minutes.”
Jai Bala discloses that the story of the movie takes place in a police station over an evening.
“The story is about what occurs in a police station when energy goes off for a quick interval. A homicide happens. An investigation follows to seek out out the assassin and the rationale behind the crime,” he says.
However why title it ‘Drama’? Says actress Kavya Bellu, “In theatre, there isn’t a room for errors. If you go on stage, you merely carry out. There is no such thing as a room for repeating an act. Equally, this movie was a single shot movie. All of us needed to ship our components convincingly collectively to finish it in a single shot. We thought that the title ‘Drama’ would point out the truth that we had labored like theatre artistes to make this movie with no second possibilities for correcting errors.”
