Varma took to his Twitter deal with to share a raunchy poster from his upcoming movie an wrote, “@_PVRcinemas @INOXCINEMAS refusing to display my movie KHATRA (DANGEROUS) becos it’s theme is LESBIAN,and this after Supreme Courtroom repealed part 377 and censor board already handed .it’s a clear lower ANTI stand of their managements towards #LGBT neighborhood.”

The movie which claims to be the primary lesbian crime motion thriller will hit theatres on April 8, 2022, in three languages of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Hindi title of the film is Khatra/Harmful, the Tamil model is called Kaadhal Kaadhaldhaam and the Telugu model is Maa Ishtam.
