Kiran Abbavarm and Chandini Chowdary prop up a middling city romance that saves its greatest for the ultimate parts

Love could be a unusual factor that one can not stroll away from, no less than for some time. The Telugu city romance Sammathame, written and directed by Gopinath Reddy, explores what occurs when an unbiased lady crosses paths with a person who tries to make her conform to his lifestyle. She tries to manage and circumvent the boundaries drawn by him, solely to grasp she will not be being her actual self anymore. Gopinath’s story mirrors many women and men we see round us. He picks up conditions which might be near actuality, weaves them into his story and asks males to develop up and settle for the girl for what she is. He does this by a script that holds curiosity solely at times.

Krishna (Kiran Abbavaram) is a small-town man who has grown up feeling a void after shedding his mom. The one objective of this software program engineer is to get married to a lady who would fill that void. When he strikes to Hyderabad and falls in love with Saanvi (Chandini Chowdary), who likes to hang around with a blended group of mates and doesn’t thoughts a drink or two, the conflicts start.

Krishna’s character is designed like a person who will not be in tune with the world round him. The primary flush of romance he feels for Saanvi through the pelli choopulu comes crashing when he learns that she has been in love earlier. The various pelli choopulus that Krishna goes by earlier than realising that his coronary heart is about on Saanvi make room for humour. That’s when he’s compelled to fix his first rule that the lady he chooses to marry shouldn’t have fallen in love with anybody else earlier than.

Kiran Abbavaram befits the a part of Krishna who’s protecting of his lady and ultimately will get too possessive and suffocating for her consolation. It’s a character that doesn’t know higher and has not been nudged to see the bigger image. As soon as the characters of Krishna and Saanvi are delineated, Sammathame plods alongside a predictable path. Kiran and Chandini are good however the story doesn’t give them sufficient to chew on. After some extent, the stifling romance will get pointless.

Shekhar Chandra’s music is interesting in a few songs and Satish Reddy’s digital camera provides the romance an unobtrusive sheen. Krishna being hell-bent on altering Saanvi, whom he perceives to be Satyabhama, as a Radha who can be in sync with him, continues for too lengthy till their older, wiser fathers (Goparaju Ramana is spectacular as Kiran’s father) drive some sense into him.

The movie additionally runs out of concepts and introduces an episode involving Sapthagiri and Mottai Rajendran that’s extra annoying than humorous.

With a greater story and script, Sammathame would have been extra pleasant.
