What Is the Story About?
SonyLIV’s Rip-off 2003 Vol 2 continues infamous scamster Abdul Karim Telgi’s story from Quantity 1. The collection recounts the machinations of the huge ₹30,000 crore ‘stamp paper rip-off’, and the rise and fall of its mastermind, Abdul Karim Telgi. Whereas Rip-off 2003 Quantity 1 handled the rise of Telgi, Quantity 2 paperwork his inevitable fall.
Rip-off 2003 is created by Hansal Mehta, directed by Tushar Hiranandani, written by Kiran Yadnopavit, Kedar Patankar and Karan Vyas from Sanjay Singh’s e-book ‘Telgi – A Reporter’s Diary’, and produced by Applause Leisure.
Performances?
Gagan Dev Riar continues to impress viewers along with his splendid efficiency in Quantity 2. His uncanny resemblance and true-to-life portrayal of Abdul Karim Telgi are a sight to behold. His flawless efficiency is embellished with good physique language, terrific supply of dialogue and a studied impersonation of the real-life Telgi.
A short shot within the ultimate episode, of the true Telgi, and a remark he makes in his personal voice, proves simply how phenomenally Gagan Dev Riar has copied Telgi’s distinctive fashion of speaking, the timbre of his voice, his general look, and extra.
The supporting solid in Rip-off 2003 does its job properly, although none stands out a lot within the brilliance of Gagan Dev Riar. Rip-off 2003 Quantity 2 sees the entry of Mukesh Tiwari as Suryapratap Gehlot, an upright cop within the Karnataka police. The actor brings credence and gravitas to his function, managing to carry his personal within the midst of Gagan Dev Riar’s mesmerising display screen presence.
