In the case of taking an unabashed jibe at somebody, there is no beating Salman Khan. The Dabangg Khan was as soon as engaged in a bittersweet argument with Himesh Reshammiya on a singing actuality present and it had left his then girlfriend Katrina Kaif visibly embarrassed.
In 2008, Salman and Katrina had graced Sa Re Ga Ma Pa to advertise their movie Yuvvraaj. Within the viral video, Salman was seen pulling Himesh’s leg whereas praising a contestant. Salman joked that Himesh will steal her track now. However Himesh did not look amused by it. He retorted to Salman’s joke saying he would not steal songs. When Himesh requested Salman to clarify, the latter prolonged his joke even additional by saying that he has stolen track from Anu Malik, who himself has lifted so many international songs.
A visibly irritated Himesh then admitted to the truth that he certainly stole one track however on Salman’s request. It was O Priya O Priya from Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, which was copied from the American rock band Santana’s authentic track Maria Maria.
However Salman wasn’t accomplished but. He then requested Himesh to sing the track, to which, the music composer replied, “Meri awaaz bahot buri hai aapne abhi kaha.” Salman instructed him that he has gotten used to it, to which Himesh replied that God has given him his voice and other people find it irresistible. He then added, “Aap isi tarah buraai karte jaiye, log mujhe pyaar karte jayenge.”
Salman flaunted a smile on his face and stated that that is how their tuning is. He then poked Himesh to sing the track however the latter wasn’t prepared to provide in to his calls for. “Uthaaye hue gaane Himesh Reshammiya nahi gaata,” he replied.
Katrina, who was sitting subsequent to Salman, obtained embarrassed and was even seen nudging him to cease.
