Jeetendra is a movie actor, TV and movie producer and chairman of the Balaji Telefilms, Balaji Movement Photos and ALT Leisure. He was born Ravi Kapoor on 7 April 1942 in Amritsar, Punjab, to Amarnath and Krishna Kapoor. Jeetendra obtained his first main break in Geet Gaya Pattharon Ne (1964). Nevertheless, it was the movie Farz (1967) that served as his stepping stone to success. He has carried out practically 200 movies as the principle lead. A few of his well-known movie consists of – Sanjog, Aulad, Majaal, Justice Chaudhry, Mawaali, Himmatwala, Jaani Dushman and Tohfa. His vigorous dancing within the movies gained him the epithet, ‘Leaping Jack of Bollywood’. He was awarded a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003 and the Display Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. He’s married to Shobha and the couple have two youngsters – daughter, Ekta Kapoor, who runs Balaji Telefilms and their son Tusshar Kapoor who can be an actor.
