R Madhavan, whose movie ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Impact’ simply received the Nationwide Award for the Greatest Function Movie, has been nominated President of the Movie and Tv Institute of India (FTII). He takes over from famend filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, who was president from September 30, 2020.

Union Minister for Data and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, took to his X account (previously Twitter) to make the announcement and prolonged his finest needs to the Nationwide Award-winning actor.

“Heartiest congratulations to @ActorMadhavan ji on being nominated as President of @FTIIOfficial and Chairman of the governing council. I’m positive that your huge expertise & robust ethics will enrich this institute, convey optimistic adjustments & take it to a better degree,” Thakur wrote.

On the work entrance, Madhavan has come on board the biopic of inventor Gopalswamy Doraisamy Naidu, who’s also referred to as the ‘Edison of India’. The movie, helmed by Mithran R. Jawahar, may have Punnagai Poo Gheetha as the feminine lead.
